Up for sale is a VW Type 823 Dummy Tank. I purchased this piece from the National Military History Center before the auction was held. When I pursched the piece the owner of the museum said it was an original 823. I can not say one way or the other but it is with out doubt a real Kubelwagen Type 82. The car is in solid shape with no major rust. It does have a transmission and engine but does not run. The engine is also a laster engine from the 60s and is not original to the car.
